Booking and payment information

To book a rental at Aunt Bette’s, select from the available dates and pay the total number of nights plus tax. There is a 10% discount for nursing home visitors, people coming for meetings or workshops, and workers spending the night on the island.

Contact miaj@shaw.ca for courtesy stays (no charge) for bereavement and memorials.

Book using the secure form on this page, which allows you to pay by Canadian bank transfer, US and Canadian credit cards, and Paypal. All bookings may be cancelled 24 hours before the date of arrival and your payment will be reimbursed. 

OR you may pay at AirBNB. The calendars are synched to prevent double booking. The Airbnb page has additional information about the rooms and amenities. Summer bookings are available on Airbnb three months in advance.

1. Sorry no smoking inside or out.
2. Sorry no pets of any kind.
3. Maximum two people.
4. The location is very private but not appropriate for gatherings or parties. We appreciate your consideration.
5. Check-in time is 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am (Atlantic Time). Let us know if you’d like more time.
6. Park in front of the house. The right side of the driveway is kept available for guests. If you’re biking, you may store your bike inside the hall at night.
7. Like all buildings on the island, Aunt Bette’s house has a septic tank. Please remember not to flush anything except toilet paper!
8. Unfortunately there’s no access to the laundry or closets. Thanks for your understanding.
9. Keep the key with you and leave it on the freezer in the hall when you check out.
